nothing of its light by lighting another candle
We can light several candles
from a single lighting candle, when doing so, it loses nothing but remains the
same as ever before. If a man possesses a lot of knowledge but is not willing
to share it with others, what is the use for it? Our greatness lies not in what
we have, but it’s in what we share with others. If knowledge is the hallmark of
a gentleman, sharing it with others makes him an integral part of society and
he will be better known to others. For that, he must have a big mind and it is
the cornerstone on which everything is built.
No work is small or big in itself,
whatever may be your profession, spend a few hours serving the poor, the
suffering, and the needy. What is in our hands, maybe, love, knowledge, or kindness, why not share it with others with pleasure? You lose practically
nothing but contribute considerably to the spreading of your potential.
Discovering our potential flourishing it with knowledge and then sharing it with the coming generations
reveals our uniqueness. That is the difference between man and animal. All the
progress humans have achieved in life is the result of discoveries and
inventions made by great men in the past. The various developments we come
across in this world were not made overnight or in one stroke. They were the
efforts of people who lived in the past.
A candle does not lose its light
when lighting another candle, likewise, if you share your knowledge with others
your stock balance of knowledge never decreases but increases. Not only
knowledge, but you can also share, love, and kindness with your dear and near.
Every small effort in sharing is a great thing or a great beginning and through
such beginnings, further, development has happened. Our life would have been
happier if we shared our knowledge with others with happiness and joy. Every
attempt that you make in the transmission of knowledge adds to your own
knowledge. You have satisfaction and you are never short of knowledge. At this
level, your work is really worship.
Cleanliness is next to Godliness
If good manners are the
hallmark of a gentleman, cleanliness is an integral part of
manners and it should be cultivated from the very childhood. We all know that our
health depends to a large extent on a clean environment and clean habits. In
short, there is a link between health and cleanliness. Many a time we have heard
the saying the first impression is the best. But how many of you know, that cleanliness has a big role in creating the right impression? if you don’t give
much importance to cleanliness it will give a poor impression about you to
others.
At school and at home,
we have been taught about the importance of cleanliness. We should be conscious
of maintaining the cleanliness of our homes and surroundings. Some of us have a
misunderstanding that cleanliness means just keeping our bodies clean. All
rooms of our house should be clean, especially the kitchen and toilets.
Otherwise, it may attract cockroaches, flies, and other insects to come and
live in our home.
A mother should be
conscious of the cleanliness of her children and the cleanliness of the
kitchen. Children should be conscious of the cleanliness of other rooms. The
entire family
should be conscious of the entire home and surroundings. If we give much
importance to cleanliness we will be liked by others. The most attractive
aspect of cleanliness is that cleanliness attracts and entertains all.
In addition to all these,
we should also have a clean mind. The cleanliness of our mind should be
expressed through our good words, good actions, love, and kindness. Most of us
do not give much importance to mental cleanliness. Those who maintain mental
cleanliness and physical cleanliness are loved by our God. All religions insist
on having a clean mind, clean dress, and clean body before going for worship.
Without any doubt, we can say that cleanliness is next to Godliness.
